Make This a Chapter in My Book...

Growing up, everytime I had a good, philosphical thought, I'd shout "Make this a chapter in my book!" Well, it certainly is not a book, but it's close enough.

I've decided to document via blog all the random concepts I've come up with over the years. Having turned 21 not more than two weeks ago, I'm pretty much ready to take on the world - blog style. I really tried to fit in to the "my boyfriend dumped me, and I got a great deal on this plus I just sewed an entire wardrobe" world of blogging, but that didn't go over too well.

These posts are loaded with random (sometimes useless) facts that you can hopefully gather inspiration from! ...or atleast, a conversation starter or two. Give it a read, so that you won't be tempted to judge the "proverbial" book by its cover... or in this case, the "proverbial" blog by its URL.

Chapter 22: Let it Snow... um.

So the East Coast... specifically Northern Virginia got HAMMERED by the most severe December snow storm in the history of well... Virginia. Yup, the pilgrims got nothin' on 2009. Ha!

Anyways, here I am. Stranded. Serves me right for buying a rear wheel drive sports car. But I'll survive - I have chocolate and diet coke and Robin Thicke on repeat - the ultimate survival kit.

So, pictured above is my cat, Craig. Yep, named him Craig! Got him off of the most sketchiest website... Craiglist.com ... i mean, this website is the King of the Sketch. I think just the other month they caught the serial murderer who was dubbed the "Craigs List Killer" because he'd meet innocent women on the site, then ruthlessly kill them when he met them.

BUT I digress... haha... sorry for the horror story tangent. Anyways, we got up to 2 feet of snow. Roads are horrible. All schools/churches are close. Malls, however, are not. So my plan you ask? Take a 4wd car to the mall and call in "immobile" to work. Crossing the fingers that the boss doesn't happen to do the same .... would be a tinge awkward. It'd probably go something like...

"Hey... um. boss."

"Heather?"

"Uh.... geez, they cleared the roads straight to the mall... however, the roads to work are trecherous! Weird, huh?"

"Sure. You're fired. Oh... and no severence pay."

LOL jk.... my boss wouldn't fire me. But I could totally see this happening. Ok, so I'm rambling... I should go now, before I annoy the crap out of ya'll. Have a great rest of your weekend! This week I'll post about my car... I'm feelin' "car-post-ish" haha.

That is all.

Oh. My. God! That cat (Craig!) is the most gorgeous cat - in the Northern Hemisphere anyway, I'd feel bad saying all up in case I offended my cat. You know how easily offended they can be.

And yay! Snow! I actually hate the snow, I can't imagine living any place where it's actually a part of every day life. But it looks SO pretty!

  • Why?
Why you ask? Not sure. I've always wanted to write down the randomness I think of, and even more so I would love to see who agrees with me and the other alternatives to my ideas.
  • Because?
Because you ask? Because I want to know what YOU think! Do you agree? Can you relate? Am I totally off the deep-end? Please, feel free to post your comments and opinions; and, who knows, maybe I'll feature them in the next blog post!
